NORMAL LIFE

Nikita Goltsos released his debut independent album, Normal Life, in January 2000. The album was launched live at a sold-out event at the Athens Concert Hall in Greece. Later that year, Nikita collaborated with Spot Thomson on a commercial campaign for Heineken. The track ‘’Stay’’ was selected as the jingle for Heineken’s television, cinema, and radio advertisements across Greece and Cyprus. Nikita also performed at various Heineken-sponsored live shows and events, selling a notable number of albums in the process. During this period, two tracks from the album-‘’Champion’’ and ‘’Right Now’’- received exclusive airplay on Athens’ top radio stations, Galaxy FM and Love Radio FM.

Upon returning to Australia in September 2001, Nikita partnered with PR and media liaison artist manager Jane Intini to further promote the album. Tracks like ‘’Champion,’’ ‘’Attica,’’ and ‘’Australia’’ gained airplay on local radio stations in Adelaide, South Australia. Renowned music analyst G-Man from Rip it Up magazine reviewed the album, stating:

‘’Nikita’s 90’s ultra-commercial pop-rock style is certain to appeal to any ‘’Men at work’’ or ‘’Phil Collins’’ nostalgic out there… Nikita is undoubtedly very good at what he does, with a perfect adequate production, execution and arrangements, and mega syrupy diffies like, ‘’Champion’’, ‘’Attica’’ and ‘’Australia’’ are certain to win the heart of any commercial radio listener with the true Aussie spirit at heart.’’
